THE ROLE

Reporting to the Regional HRBP Manager, the HR Business Partner will be a key player who will support business growth and build a unique and strong people-oriented culture in Hyphen Group. As an advocate of our group’s HR initiatives, you will enjoy the benefits and satisfaction of supporting a wide range of functional teams through its growth and drive their evolution as the business scales up.

You will champion our Group’s corporate culture in your business partnering practices and delivery of HR initiatives through our people managers in a timely, accurate and compliant manner.

YOUR TASK

The successful candidate will work proactively and provide a full range of HR services and solutions in line with business objectives of our technology organization. The objective is to build HR business partnering practices into a core competency and competitive differentiator for the business. Key areas of coverage include people development, employee relations, performance management, retention, succession planning, employee satisfaction, and recognition programs.

Who may have access to personal data?

Your information will be shared internally within the Group for the purposes of the recruitment exercise. This includes with members of the HR and recruitment team, interviewers involved in the recruitment process, managers in the business area with a vacancy, internal and external auditors and IT staff if access to the data is necessary for the performance of their roles.

Your personal data will be shared with Greenhouse Software, Inc., a cloud services provider located in the United States of America and engaged by Hyphen Group to help manage its recruitment and hiring process on Hyphen Group’s behalf.

Hyphen Group may share your personal data with third parties in order to, obtain pre-employment references from other employers, obtain employment background checks from third party providers and to obtain necessary criminal record checks.

How long do we hold your personal data?

Your personal data will be retained by the Group for so long as the Group determines it is reasonably necessary to evaluate your application for employment. If your application for employment is successful, personal data gathered during the recruitment process will be transferred to your personnel file and retained during your employment in accordance with the contract of employment and our internal privacy policy.

What if you do not supply your personal data?

You are under no statutory or contractual obligation to provide data to the us during the recruitment process. However, if you do not provide the information, we may not be able to process your application properly or at all.

YOUR TASK

Key areas of coverage include people development, employee relations, performance management, retention, succession planning, employee satisfaction, and recognition programs. 

Business Partnering

  • Build trustful and credible working relationships with the business stakeholders through regular catch-ups, timely interactions, and proactive participation in on-going people and business discussions to deliver impact against priorities that will benefit both the business and employees
  • Provides direction and coaching on HR programs, policies and processes, including and not limited to performance management, compensation, talent retention, learning and development, and career development roadmap 
  • Respond to employee relations issues, such as employee complaints, harassment allegations, and civil rights complaints
  • Engage and serve as the first point of contact with employees regarding topics such as benefits and claims eligibility, payroll deductions, retirement, re-employment and termination guidelines when needed
  • Create and drive change management and thoughtful learning programs to further enhance organisational health
  • Manage succession planning by administering accurate talent evaluation information through talent management.
  • Foster a company culture of open, transparent communications, and high standards of behaviour and ethical conduct throughout the organization. 
  • Enhance employee engagement and a culture of continuous growth and development.

Team Structure

  • You will work alongside the Regional HR Operations Executive, who will provide operational support in delivering HR initiatives and people processes through the entire employee journey.

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS

  • University graduate with a minimum of 2 years of experience in Human Resources, with exposure to and demonstrated competence in all functional areas, and ideally some experience in high-growth companies and/or transformation projects
  • Demonstrated ability both to engage with stakeholders on strategic conversations, and to coach new managers on HR topics, especially in remote set-up
  • Strong service mentality and able to effectively and quickly build relationships and establish trust, respect, competence, and confidence
  • Strong change management skills, i.e., comfortable with uncertainty, ambiguity and constant change, yet able to set priorities and execute on commitments
  • Solutions-focused, able to sort through information and develop concise and clear solutions quickly
  • Familiar with the local employment regulations and HR practices in Singapore
  • Detail oriented with a logical and methodological approach to problem solving
  • Comfortable to work in fast-paced environment with high degree of autonomy
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills in English
