THE ROLE

Reporting to the Country HR Manager - HK and TW (based in HK), the Regional HR Operations Executive - Hong Kong & Taiwan will support our regional team, MoneyHero and Money101 teams based in our Hong Kong and Taiwan offices. You will champion our Group’s corporate culture through the daily execution of our people processes. As a pioneer and advocate of our group HR initiatives in HK and TW, you will enjoy the benefits and satisfaction of seeing a team through its growth and evolution from the time when it’s still a compact team with a strong start-up vibe.

Who may have access to personal data?

Your information will be shared internally within the Group for the purposes of the recruitment exercise. This includes with members of the HR and recruitment team, interviewers involved in the recruitment process, managers in the business area with a vacancy, internal and external auditors and IT staff if access to the data is necessary for the performance of their roles.

Your personal data will be shared with Greenhouse Software, Inc., a cloud services provider located in the United States of America and engaged by Hyphen Group to help manage its recruitment and hiring process on Hyphen Group’s behalf.

Hyphen Group may share your personal data with third parties in order to, obtain pre-employment references from other employers, obtain employment background checks from third party providers and to obtain necessary criminal record checks.

How long do we hold your personal data?

Your personal data will be retained by the Group for so long as the Group determines it is reasonably necessary to evaluate your application for employment. If your application for employment is successful, personal data gathered during the recruitment process will be transferred to your personnel file and retained during your employment in accordance with the contract of employment and our internal privacy policy.

What if you do not supply your personal data?

You are under no statutory or contractual obligation to provide data to the us during the recruitment process. However, if you do not provide the information, we may not be able to process your application properly or at all.

YOUR TASK

HR Operations (85%)

  • Support a growing team throughout their employee journey (pre-onboarding, onboarding, probation performance review, career development, employee engagement, L&D…)
  • Owner and executor of all people processes, including but not limited to
    • On/offboarding support and process compliance
    • C&B
      • Work closely with payroll vendors regarding monthly payroll and national tax/welfare payments (TW)
      • Manage payroll, MPF and tax returns (HK)
    • Annual benefits review and renewal (e.g. commercial medical benefits)
    • Performance review and salary adjustment   
  • Maintain employee data on HRIS in a timely, accurate and consistent manner
  • Propose and implement internal communications for both planned and ad-hoc HR/OM related topics
  • Collaborate with wider HR team (Talent Acquisition, Engagement and L&D) in execution of HR processes and delivery of employee experiences
  • Identify gaps on compliance to local regulations/audit needs and provide feedback in pursuit of improvement in efficiency and new SOP alignment
  • Assist in driving and organizing employee relations activities/programs to foster constructive employee relations and enhance staff engagement 

Office Management (15%)

  • Logistics support for team building activities and festival celebrations
  • Replenish office supplies in a cost-effective manner
  • Own and manage office resources shared by the whole organization (e.g. courier service, business card printing, clearing service, etc.)
  • Maintain office facilities and ensure their good conditions and compliance to local regulatory requirements
  • Other ad-hoc projects related to office administrations

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS

  • Driven by the mission to help people thrive and build meaningful relationships in the workplace
  • Seasoned and mature to handle confidential information and tasks independently
  • Proactive, hands-on and able to work autonomously with minimal supervision, while keen to communicate abundantly with other team members
  • Knowledge of Hong Kong and/or Taiwan employment law and regulations will be a big plus, but not a must
  • Fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin (both oral and written) 
  • A degree holder in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Communications or any other related disciplines
  • 3-5 years’ working experiences, with at least 1 year in HR operations and administration related scope
  • Experience with Google Admin, Slack and/or HRIS systems (e.g. bob, Workday, etc.) is a plus
  • Meticulous and detail-oriented with the ability to learn quickly
