THE ROLE

MoneyMax is looking for a General Manager to lead the business and its entire operations in the Philippines. As a General Manager, you are responsible for the overall performance of MoneyMax, the leading financial comparison and digital, financial product distribution platform in the Philippines.

Essential to success in this role is a keen ability to manage teams, build commercial relationships and strengthen the MoneyMax brand in the Philippines. You will be supported by Commercial, Marketing & Product teams in-market as your direct reports. MoneyMax is the Philippines business of Hyphen Group, a leading Fintech company in Southeast Asia. Hyphen Group provides unrivaled support and tools from the Engineering, Marketing, Data and Product Development departments for you to leverage and grow MoneyMax. In this position, you would be working very closely with the C-Level executives of Hyphen Group, while having a large amount of influence on local market decisions and initiatives.

The General Manager has overall responsibility for the success of MoneyMax, including revenue growth and overall financial performance of MoneyMax

Your personal data will be shared with Greenhouse Software, Inc., a cloud services provider located in the United States of America and engaged by Hyphen Group to help manage its recruitment and hiring process on Hyphen Group’s behalf.

Hyphen Group may share your personal data with third parties in order to, obtain pre-employment references from other employers, obtain employment background checks from third party providers and to obtain necessary criminal record checks.

How long do we hold your personal data?

Your personal data will be retained by the Group for so long as the Group determines it is reasonably necessary to evaluate your application for employment. If your application for employment is successful, personal data gathered during the recruitment process will be transferred to your personnel file and retained during your employment in accordance with the contract of employment and our internal privacy policy.

What if you do not supply your personal data?

YOUR TASK

The General Manager has overall responsibility for the success of MoneyMax, including revenue growth and overall financial performance of MoneyMax

  • Shape, lead and execute the overall strategy and direction of MoneyMax
  • Grow the MoneyMax brand and market share
  • Implement regional product, marketing and sales initiatives aimed at improving the efficiency of the in-market team and operations.
  • Measure the performance of the teams using relevant statistics and producing relevant weekly and monthly reports
  • Work with Executives and Senior Leaders to devise budget and business plans, review performance to budget, taking appropriate action to improve performance.
  • Manage profitability through the achievement of targets, pricing decisions and the development and control of budgets.
  • Create and foster key senior commercial and industry relationships
  • Be a brand ambassador for MoneyMax and Hyphen Group in the Philippines

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Tertiary qualifications in a related business discipline, an MBA would be highly regarded
  • Able to identify the root causes of problems and generate strategic solutions.
  • Significant experience in financial forecasting and budgetary management.
  • Previous experience managing and developing high performing teams and is a credible leader.
  • Prior experience working in financial institutions or other regulated environments such as insurance, fintech etc.
  • Possesses deep knowledge of the market, current media issues, competitor behaviour & strategy, and an understanding of product development, PR, media, social and insights.
  • Well-developed negotiation and contract management skills and experience. Strong emotional intelligence and can demonstrate good judgment in decision making.
  • Self-motivated and results driven, positive and energetic approach, results driven, composed, tenacious and has a sense of humour
  • Exceptional communication skills – can articulate complex ideas simply, able to make a compelling argument, direct and respectful, a good brand ambassador.
