We earn fees directly from financial institutions when one of our customers takes a financial product via our platform. We want to be the first place people in Singapore think of when they have a personal finance need.

About The Role:

The Head of Product role is responsible for interpreting our and translating our mission and strategy into a clear and outcome-focused product vision. You’ll be responsible for driving the vision, strategy, roadmap and execution for all of our products. This is an early stage team, and there will be a lot of freedom to define the role, the product and the shape of the team. The role requires a unique combination of high-level strategic thinking, customer obsession, and focused execution. 

We are looking for someone who is hands-on to the extent that they can make an impact quickly, while also having the ability to become a leader within the business by defining and executing product development which reflects our vision.

Who may have access to personal data?

Your information will be shared internally within the Group for the purposes of the recruitment exercise. This includes with members of the HR and recruitment team, interviewers involved in the recruitment process, managers in the business area with a vacancy, internal and external auditors and IT staff if access to the data is necessary for the performance of their roles.

Your personal data will be shared with Greenhouse Software, Inc., a cloud services provider located in the United States of America and engaged by Hyphen Group to help manage its recruitment and hiring process on Hyphen Group’s behalf.

Hyphen Group may share your personal data with third parties in order to, obtain pre-employment references from other employers, obtain employment background checks from third party providers and to obtain necessary criminal record checks.

How long do we hold your personal data?

Your personal data will be retained by the Group for so long as the Group determines it is reasonably necessary to evaluate your application for employment. If your application for employment is successful, personal data gathered during the recruitment process will be transferred to your personnel file and retained during your employment in accordance with the contract of employment and our internal privacy policy.

What if you do not supply your personal data?

You are under no statutory or contractual obligation to provide data to the us during the recruitment process. However, if you do not provide the information, we may not be able to process your application properly or at all.

What You’ll Do:

  • Work with the entire SingSaver team to deeply understand our customers (both SingSaver users and financial institutions)
  • Define the product strategy and roadmap for SingSaver, including critical aspects of the the user journey
  • Work with cross-functional teams to develop a plan for product growth, development, implementation, and rollout
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and engineering teams to develop a roadmap of initiatives and experiments that reflects business priorities, budget / cost, and timing
  • Enable (directly and via your team) prioritization of features and coordination of delivery schedules with a team of engineers, designers, analysts and delivery managers to ship high-quality experiences
  • Inform product decisions with quantitative and qualitative data on user behavior and experimentation (e.g. A/B testing, survey data, usability studies, interviews)
  • Define methods and metrics for identifying success and failure while ensuring the team is clear on their objectives
  • Hire and grow a team of product managers, designers and analysts responsible for defining the future of personal finance in Singapore

If you have some or all of the following, then we’d like to speak with you:

  • Experience developing a multi-year vision, strategy and roadmap for large scale products
  • Comfort with ambiguity and a bias for outcome-focused action
  • Led a cross-functional organization through high quality product delivery
  • At least seven years’ relevant technical product management experience (SaaS, mobile applications, e-commerce platforms etc.) where you not only have shipped new products which move metrics, and also drove continuous product improvement and optimisation of a portfolio of small, medium and large releases 
  • Some people management experience and a passion for leading, inspiring and motivating others
  • Familiarity with web and mobile technologies, including experience working with software development agile processes like Scrum and Kanban
  • Solid understanding of web analytics along with commercial acumen
  • Strong knowledge of usability and product design and UX trends; inclined to provide feedback and suggestions across internal teams to improve future product functionality, user experience, and customer satisfaction
  • Excellent communication skills, whether writing, presenting or managing meetings (including the ability to articulate customer challenges and potential solutions)
  • Self-motivated individual who takes ownership of initiatives and proactively works on things that make an impact to customers and the business
  • Nice to haves: software development/engineering experience; experience of starting or running your own business; experience in finance or insurance
