SingSaver is seeking an experienced sales professional to be a strategic thought partner, lead our business development team and manage relationships with some of the largest financial institutions (FIs) (we call them “providers”) in Singapore. As the Head of Commercial, you will have the exciting opportunity to help drive the growth and shape the future of digital acquisition within the financial services sector. Working directly with the General Manager and the Hyphen Group Commercial team, you will lead the SingSaver business development team. Who may have access to personal data?

Your information will be shared internally within the Group for the purposes of the recruitment exercise. This includes with members of the HR and recruitment team, interviewers involved in the recruitment process, managers in the business area with a vacancy, internal and external auditors and IT staff if access to the data is necessary for the performance of their roles.

Your personal data will be shared with Greenhouse Software, Inc., a cloud services provider located in the United States of America and engaged by Hyphen Group to help manage its recruitment and hiring process on Hyphen Group’s behalf.

Hyphen Group may share your personal data with third parties in order to, obtain pre-employment references from other employers, obtain employment background checks from third party providers and to obtain necessary criminal record checks.

How long do we hold your personal data?

Your personal data will be retained by the Group for so long as the Group determines it is reasonably necessary to evaluate your application for employment. If your application for employment is successful, personal data gathered during the recruitment process will be transferred to your personnel file and retained during your employment in accordance with the contract of employment and our internal privacy policy.

What if you do not supply your personal data?

You are under no statutory or contractual obligation to provide data to the us during the recruitment process. However, if you do not provide the information, we may not be able to process your application properly or at all.

What you’ll do

  • Articulate compelling value propositions around SingSaver's services
  • Act as a genuine partner who communicates business development strategies in Singapore with the wider Hyphen Group organization, both functionally (i.e. across marketing, product etc.) and regionally (across different markets)
  • Conduct effective strategic business planning and contribute to the direction of product development in partnership with your General Manager and regional Hyphen Group leadership
  • Contribute to and grow SingSaver’s position as a strategic partner with FIs in Singapore
  • Pitch, sell, negotiate and renegotiate commercial deals with FIs (providers) in Singapore by understanding their business needs and objectives
  • Develop and execute against provider account plans, enabling you and your team to meet and exceed your targets
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationship with P&L decision makers / economic buyers at provider organisations, as well as key influencers and supporters (and ensure that relationship web mapping is executed properly) 
  • Recruit, manage and lead business development managers in Singapore.
  • Conduct training in sales, negotiation and account management
  • Measure and manage business development progress and build a performance-driven sales culture
  • Monitor the activity of competitors and utilize learnings
  • Ensure the regulatory environment is understood and complied with
  • Structure sales incentives appropriately on a quarterly basis

Skills and experience which could help 

  • 8-12 years work experience in a B2B sales / sales management role
  • Deep knowledge of the core areas in which we operate in the Singapore market (banking/finance) 
  • Knowledge of retail banking products as well as the digital marketing process is a plus
  • Proven record of negotiating and securing deals 
  • Experience in selling complex, tailored solutions at or to financial institutions 
  • Target orientated individual with demonstrable sales experience dealing with B2B providers having demonstrated decision making, problem solving, and negotiating skills
  • Excellent communication/interpersonal skills and the ability to professionally interact with providers, with verbal and written communication, analytical written and presentation skills
  • Ability to characterize value of financial products
  • Positive and energetic leader with expertise in managing sales team - hungry, driven and highly self-motivated; not phased by setbacks or complexity 

Preferred Qualifications

  • BA or BSc degree in finance, computer science, engineering, business, marketing, or related field
  • Experience in driving the adoption of new technologies and solutions preferred.
  • B2B enterprise technology sales experience
