In this role you will act as the brand and content subject matter expert of the organisation. You will be responsible for defining the overall content and brand strategy for the Group and its portfolio companies, and driving the execution and activation of the brand across markets, products, customer segments and stages of the customer journey. You will have the opportunity to work with a wide range of stakeholders across functions including growth marketing, data analytics, product, commercial and technology. You will be expected to think and act as a business lead - understanding how our brand and content efforts and initiatives support the organization’s overall business objectives.

 

You will be part of the marketing leadership team and have the opportunity to co-design together with the other functional leads the marketing vision of the organisation.

Your information will be shared internally within the Group for the purposes of the recruitment exercise. Your personal data will be shared with Greenhouse Software, Inc., a cloud services provider located in the United States of America and engaged by Hyphen Group to help manage its recruitment and hiring process on Hyphen Group’s behalf.

Hyphen Group may share your personal data with third parties in order to, obtain pre-employment references from other employers, obtain employment background checks from third party providers and to obtain necessary criminal record checks.

How long do we hold your personal data?

Your personal data will be retained by the Group for so long as the Group determines it is reasonably necessary to evaluate your application for employment. If your application for employment is successful, personal data gathered during the recruitment process will be transferred to your personnel file and retained during your employment in accordance with the contract of employment and our internal privacy policy.

What if you do not supply your personal data?

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategy Development

  • Develop/refine the brand strategic framework (including but not limited to visual identity, tone of voice, brand guidelines, editorial code etc) to differentiate our portfolio (consumer) brands from our competitors and manage the activation in-market 
  • Define the overall content strategy for the Group and its portfolio brands, across a wide range of channels (including but not limited to website, social channels, email, paid marketing campaigns, etc); this includes developing and clearly articulating the business case / ROI for the proposed strategy
  • Own the development of our consumer brands’ audience personas to identify key user needs, opportunity sizing and drive the activation in-market through tailored content strategies 
  • Set objectives and measurable key results (KPIs) for brand and content efforts; responsible for the achievement of these goals through strong execution and delivery
  • Own key strategic initiatives, including the P&L ownership and measurement, that will accelerate business growth, e.g. new content technology implementation, upper funnel strategies
  • Develop best practices (content, social media, branding) for in-market teams to learn and leverage
  • Partner with the SEO and performance marketing leads to ensure content development and brand activation is linked and contributes to overall growth strategy 
  • Partner with the Analytics lead to uncover user insights and craft actionable content marketing strategies
  • Own the development and roll-out of standardised reporting frameworks and analytics tools to assess brand performance, competitor landscape and track PR / content efforts across markets and channels via data-driven insights and user insight
  • Build the framework for customer journey mapping and own the process of rolling out across all markets; Responsible to act as the project lead to bring in key stakeholders (product, technology, etc.) as required

Platform Development

  • Partner with product and technology teams and own the delivery of content and brand priorities; taking into account the balance between content quality, user experience and technical resourcing required to deliver solutions
  • Identify and own the development of technology platform(s), e.g. CMS deployment or content automation, to innovate content development and accelerate the achievement of our business goals

Commercial

  • Partner with Commercial Strategy Lead and teams to provide new and compelling marketing material for strategic client meetings, as well as offer new insights, trends and industry views
  • Identify and develop new scalable marketing solutions to providers

Mentorship & Stakeholder Management

  • Develop strong relationships with stakeholders across the organisation (regional and local marketing, product, technology, commercial, etc) to advance brand and content efforts and reach business objectives
  • Partner with the markets’ brand and content leads to ensure content development and brand activation is executed effectively in-market
  • Act as a mentor and advisor to the markets’ respective brand and content leads on areas such as strategy, innovation and people development



YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

  • 10+ years of content and brand marketing experience; including hands-on professional writing and design experience
  • 5+ years of managing a team of content writers, designers and project managers, and comfortable working with stakeholders across markets, functions and with different cultural backgrounds
  • Track record of exceeding aggressive growth targets and managing content and brand projects from inception to completion
  • Exceptional writing, editing and storytelling skills
  • Experience in conceptualising and executing strong content marketing efforts, taking into account SEO results and impact
  • Experience in developing creative and effective marketing campaigns that build and reinforce brand love
  • Advanced user of analytics tools including but not limited to Google Analytics and Google Search Console
  • Exceptional analytical skills and loves using data to tell stories
  • Strong attention to detail and able to deliver high-quality work under tight timelines
  • Self-starter who thrives in an ambiguous, fast-paced, results-oriented startup environment - will go the extra mile without being asked
  • Strong project management skills and enjoys managing multiple, complex projects and creating processes and systems to improve efficiencies within an organization
  • Strong presentation and interpersonal skills.  Comfortable and effective in communicating business ideas and strategy to C-level management
  • Enthusiastic leader and collaborator and enjoys working with and learning from people of different backgrounds and cultures
  • Passion about fintech and technology
  • Fluent in English
