Who may have access to personal data?

Your information will be shared internally within the Group for the purposes of the recruitment exercise. This includes with members of the HR and recruitment team, interviewers involved in the recruitment process, managers in the business area with a vacancy, internal and external auditors and IT staff if access to the data is necessary for the performance of their roles.

Your personal data will be shared with Greenhouse Software, Inc., a cloud services provider located in the United States of America and engaged by Hyphen Group to help manage its recruitment and hiring process on Hyphen Group’s behalf.

Hyphen Group may share your personal data with third parties in order to, obtain pre-employment references from other employers, obtain employment background checks from third party providers and to obtain necessary criminal record checks.

How long do we hold your personal data?

Your personal data will be retained by the Group for so long as the Group determines it is reasonably necessary to evaluate your application for employment. If your application for employment is successful, personal data gathered during the recruitment process will be transferred to your personnel file and retained during your employment in accordance with the contract of employment and our internal privacy policy.

What if you do not supply your personal data?

You are under no statutory or contractual obligation to provide data to the us during the recruitment process. However, if you do not provide the information, we may not be able to process your application properly or at all.

YOUR TASKS

  • Support the team during scrum ceremonies, ensuring effective and efficient meetings.  Facilitate discussion of team conflicts toward resolution through examination of alternative approaches. 
  • Demonstrate strong organizational and influencing skills as a servant leader. Escalate impediments for effective resolution, react to problems quickly to secure team deliverables. Shield teams from external influences that can jeopardize sprint goals. 
  • Ensure teams understand and commit to specific realistic goals, and follow through accordingly. Hold self and others accountable for assigned tasks and issues while maintaining teamwork and a professional environment. 
  • Develop and maintain trust within the team, keeping them engaged, involved and informed. 
  • Promote continuous improvement within the team, consistently tracking and following up on retrospective items. Collect metrics to gain insight into team performance and report on team improvements. 
  • Maintain a strong and aligned relationship with product owners, promoting experimentation with disciplined learning. Work with them in maintaining backlogs - guiding the definition of complete and actionable backlog items with clear acceptance criteria and quality assurance. 
  • Assist teams in maintaining data integrity, completeness and accuracy in tools for work tracking and reporting.
  • Ensure constant communication and provide visibility to stakeholders.
  • Proactively grow skills, knowledge and mastery of agile methodologies. Provide guidance to the organization around best practices and leads strategic initiatives for adoption of best practices.

SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • Energetic, self-motivated and empathetic
  • At least 2-3 years’ experience in executing technical projects
  • Ability to communicate effectively with engineers, product owners, product managers, designers, and all leadership levels
  • Able to build and sustain long-term relationships with partners and colleagues - outstanding relationship-building, and influencing skills
  • Ability to organize and prioritize tasks and day-to-day activities for self and cross functional team members with the flexibility to change as needed.
  • Ability to analyse business processes and how they interface within the company infrastructure
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Proven ability to handle complex issues and relationships.
  • Professionalism in communication and outstanding facilitation. Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent work experience; Project Management or Scrum Master experience preferred

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven experience with all stages in SDLC and production lifecycle of large systems
  • Experience in a software industry role (engineer, designer, QA, etc)
  • Experience with Scrum / Kanban methodologies      
  • Scrum Master Certification
