THE ROLE

We are seeking to hire a Public Relations specialist who will be responsible for building and maintaining a positive image for MoneyMax. You will be in charge of establishing and maintaining relationships with consumer, community, employee, and public interest groups by writing press releases and other media communications, responding to requests for information and press conferences, and coaching client representatives in the correct way of communicating with the public and with clients. To be successful in this role, you will need a deep understanding of consumer and behavioural marketing. You will also need excellent written and verbal communication skills. Previous experience in handling a press conference is also an advantage.

Your information will be shared internally within the Group for the purposes of the recruitment exercise. This includes with members of the HR and recruitment team, interviewers involved in the recruitment process, managers in the business area with a vacancy, internal and external auditors and IT staff if access to the data is necessary for the performance of their roles.

Your personal data will be shared with Greenhouse Software, Inc., a cloud services provider located in the United States of America and engaged by Hyphen Group to help manage its recruitment and hiring process on Hyphen Group’s behalf.

Hyphen Group may share your personal data with third parties in order to, obtain pre-employment references from other employers, obtain employment background checks from third party providers and to obtain necessary criminal record checks.

How long do we hold your personal data?

Your personal data will be retained by the Group for so long as the Group determines it is reasonably necessary to evaluate your application for employment. If your application for employment is successful, personal data gathered during the recruitment process will be transferred to your personnel file and retained during your employment in accordance with the contract of employment and our internal privacy policy.

What if you do not supply your personal data?

You are under no statutory or contractual obligation to provide data to the us during the recruitment process. However, if you do not provide the information, we may not be able to process your application properly or at all.

YOUR TASK

  • Study and understand the organisation's objectives, policies and needs to build public relations strategies that influence public opinion and promote products, events, ideas, and services
  • Plan, implement and manage public relations strategies
  • Organize and manage various Public Relations activities:
    • Organize Media Activities 
    • Organize on-ground activities that are relevant to MoneyMax
    • Measure the performance of each activity and event such as AD value/PR Value, the number of media coverage, keywords resonance
    • Draft press releases, briefing documents and other relevant documents if or when needed
    • Work with the content team during event participation
    • Analyse the results of PR campaigns or efforts and prepare reports
  • Handle the creation of PR campaigns that deliver measurable results and meet the objectives and analyse the outcome
  • Build and maintain relationships with key and relevant members of stakeholders, community and media
  • Connect the key players or representatives of the organization with media for interviews, arrange press conference and other events, compose web copy and create newsletters
  • Write press releases and speeches for MoneyMax events as well as handle media relations and enquiries
  • Strategize, plan, curate and manage social media campaigns which includes writing corporate content for website and digital channels (LinkedIn, Facebook, twitter etc.), copy writing including blog posts and feature articles
  • Develop and produce short videos for pre, during and post event or promo videos

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS

  • Diploma or Degree in Public Relations or Mass Communications or Marketing or Journalism
  • At least 2 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position
  • Work experience in journalism, broadcasting and/or public relations
  • Candidate with work experience from PR or Creative Agency with experience in copywriting is preferred
  • Must have excellent understanding of branding and communications scope of work
  • Must have strong writing (English and Tagalog), verbal, and presentation skills
  • High competency in using computer, Microsoft office software and internet tools
  • Independent and self-motivated
  • Creative, analytical and have critical thinking, assertive, proactive and result oriented
  • Quick and enthusiastic learner
  • An outgoing personality and have ability to build mutually beneficial relationships
  • Deadline-oriented, inquisitive, with great follow-up and reporting skills
  • Ability to pitch to media
  • Responds well under pressure with strict time limit
  • Good organisation and project management skills
  • Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Multilingual skills are a plus
  • Candidate must also be able to handle ad hoc task given
