THE ROLE

Seedly is the one-stop platform to help people manage and learn personal finance together. Founded in 2016, we established ourselves as the leader in personal finance space in Singapore and looking to expand to even more areas.

We are looking for a confident and resourceful Research Consultant, with at least 2 years of relevant experience working with clients in the area of Retail Finance, Banking and Insurance. As part of the commercial strategy team, we will work together to develop this business unit and help shape the future of retail products for consumers in the market.

Who may have access to personal data?

Your information will be shared internally within the Group for the purposes of the recruitment exercise. This includes with members of the HR and recruitment team, interviewers involved in the recruitment process, managers in the business area with a vacancy, internal and external auditors and IT staff if access to the data is necessary for the performance of their roles.

Your personal data will be shared with Greenhouse Software, Inc., a cloud services provider located in the United States of America and engaged by Hyphen Group to help manage its recruitment and hiring process on Hyphen Group’s behalf.

Hyphen Group may share your personal data with third parties in order to, obtain pre-employment references from other employers, obtain employment background checks from third party providers and to obtain necessary criminal record checks.

How long do we hold your personal data?

Your personal data will be retained by the Group for so long as the Group determines it is reasonably necessary to evaluate your application for employment. If your application for employment is successful, personal data gathered during the recruitment process will be transferred to your personnel file and retained during your employment in accordance with the contract of employment and our internal privacy policy.

What if you do not supply your personal data?

You are under no statutory or contractual obligation to provide data to the us during the recruitment process. However, if you do not provide the information, we may not be able to process your application properly or at all.

YOUR TASK

  • Plan Research Strategies: Research consultants design research strategies to fulfill the needs of specific research projects. This includes estimating the amount of time it will take to complete research and creating a basic plan of action for finding the necessary data.
  • Find and Collect Data: Research consultants implement research plans to find and collect data. This may include studying reports, using online sources, taking phone surveys, and using a variety of other data-collection methods.
  • Interpret and Analyze Data: Research consultants interpret and analyze research data, mining it for relevant information.
  • Write Research Reports: Research consultants write research reports highlighting and summarizing essential information found through their data analysis.
  • Verify Data: Research consultants verify their findings by assigning investigative teams to double-check data by going out into the field to physically track down information.
  • Present Research: Research consultants present their findings verbally to summarize essential information learned through data collection and analysis. Present a plan to implement the recommended changes
  • Facilitate discussions: With interviewees and client to elaborate on the areas of proposed improvements

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree from a top institution (MBA is preferred)
  • 2+ years of consulting experience
  • Well-developed core consulting skills of research, analysis, presentation, and attention to detail
  • Aptitude to grasp new concepts and effectively produce results
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills – an analytical, innovative, and creative mindset
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to be self-directed and be an independent contributor to the team

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced working knowledge of the Google presentation Suite, specifically Sheets and Slides
  • Well-developed industry expertise in a domain of alignment (financial services, utilities consumer products)
  • Ability to lead teams with a sound work ethic, intellectual curiosity, and exceptional client service

Personality and Interpersonal Skills

  • Ability to structure and manage intensive workloads
  • A worthy team player, dedicated to contributing toward the outcome desired by the team
  • High degree of emotional intelligence to effectively deal with increasingly diverse clients and teams
  • Confidence and maturity to work with senior executives (crucial)
